Over two days, participants will have the opportunity to practice drawing and painting the portrait from a live model.
The weekend will have a Sargent theme: with the model styled in Victorian formal setting and dress.
A demonstration will be given on how to construct a convincing portrait - initially through a tonal drawing in charcoal (Sargent style), and then later a limited palette oil painting. Individual guidance will be given throughout the weekend.
All teaching/demos are optional - you’re welcome to just turn up and paint/draw!
Location: RGA Pop Up Studios @ 138 Friar Street, Reading (UK). 5 mins walk from Reading train station.
